Breakfast

On Sunday mornings before service and Bible class, the congregation gathers to fellowship and catch up with one another over breakfast. We began this service in January 2000, when the leadership of the congregation felt a desire for greater fellowship. Since then, breakfast has been offered every Sunday morning to date.

Benefits
The opportunity to fellowship with one another is only one way the breakfast benefits the members. The breakfast makes a difference in the lives of the families and elderly members in the congregation who sometimes find it difficult to get to church without the added hassle of breakfast. These (as well as most other) members often appreciate a morning 'off'.

Our Purpose
Indeed, we are called by God to serve both each other as well as the communities we live in. As with all ventures at the church, the breakfast is organised voluntarily by members of the congregation and is dependent on the service-oriented hearts of the members who feel they can serve their spiritual family in this way.

The Menu
The brethren at Castlemilk have never needed incentives for fellowshipping; the attraction to coming to the breakfast is one another, not a fussy menu. Therefore breakfast tends to be simple in nature, with a basic menu of toast, cereal, cakes or scones, fruit juice, tea and coffee.

Cost and Times
The cost is free of charge for all and is offered from 10:20-10:55am every Sunday. Please feel free to come along and get to know us in this informal setting.
