Castlemilk Weblog

Charlie
The church in Castlemilk has decided to publish some of our everyday events in a Weblog (Blog). Charlie explains why...

What is this Blog?
To be twee about it, it’s a chunk of… Love. And, it’s information, communication, education (a little) but more than anything it’s Encouragement with a capital E. You see a Blog is just an electronic page which people use, mostly as a diary or a journal and publish it on the interweb, sorry our little joke, the Internet. They create it, write in it and send it out there. Our Blog came about for a purpose: to help and hopefully serve the Sisters and Brothers in Castlemilk and inform other users from different parts of the word. Having considered the many “elements” that make up the church in Castlemilk I thought it would be a good idea to pull all these things together into one place, therefore information. The communication part is that the Blog allows for feedback. Education: it’s not so much education in its self but more of an aid to recall. I’m passionate about the teaching here at Castlemilk as are those who serve you, so a summary of a lesson will be available whenever it is possible, to aid your recall. Ultimately helping strengthen us in Gods word.

Encouragement

The Blog will be there to help spur you on always, and if you don’t make it on a Sunday it will help you catch up. Also if you are on the other side of the world you can still spend time with us and it’s even there when you just need to refresh your memory on what was said at a supper, lesson, House Group and the like. It will never replace the real thing, just supplement it. Furthermore, you can use it to look back through the archives, a good aid seeing that our lessons are taught in series.

It will be updated often, at least once a week. And it will very much have my viewpoint I hope you don't mind. So it is very much a chunk of love. As we think about the ways that we can serve you, I believe this is beneficial. Not only do you get all the above, you also get to see at a glance the fruits that this church is bearing. So let me finish with these words, As He has Loved …. Shouldn’t we?

Let me encourage you to do just that, in every way I can.. Use the link provided on the main menu to the left.

For His glory...

Charlie.
