FOODBANK

Foodbank

The Church has been serving the community for over 50 years, in many and various ways. We take Jesus's word seriously regarding help for the poor. Therefore, to that end, we run the Foodbank to help feed the needy. Foodbank is available once per month, on the second Saturday of each month.

We are an entirely self-funded Foodbank with money that comes from the members' Sunday givings and also dontations from sister congregations, such as Clarkston Church of Christ who make generous financial donations. Other individuals have also given us food out of the goodness of their hearts to help bolster our stocks. We are not associated or funded with or by, any Government run Foodbanks, nor are we associated with the Trussel Trust, Social Work Care or any Job Centres. Therefore, there is no requirement to prove your need (Red Slips), we leave that enitrely to the trust and conscience of those who attend.

We provide food, household cleaning and personal hygene items to support to those in need. In the last 15 years we have supported many many families and we endevour to continue this with God's grace.

On the morning of the Foodbank; tea, coffee and biscuits are served at no charge as we encourge those who attend, to enjoy social interaction.
