Inspiration
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant word of God. This notion of inspiration, is not born from the subjective imagination of man, but is in fact stated from within the pages of the Bible itself…
2 Tim 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV)
"God-breathed" is the literal translation of the Greek word theopnuestos. Inspiration then, in the biblical sense, isn’t the contrivance of the human mind, the biblical record is not the whim of the writer, the writer is simply the medium through which God speaks. Thus, the role of the writer is to merely record what God wanted written.
Our Response
Since the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the revelation of Himself and how He expects His children to live, we seek to pattern our lives according to it’s instruction.
