Out With The Old
The term 'Evening Service' is a little misleading, since we do not actually have a service as such. Granted, we do meet together at 6pm each Sunday night, but the evening meeting is very different from the morning service.

We felt that the traditional Sunday evening service, was no more that a repeat of the morning service. Besides feeling old, we felt that this was detracting somewhat from the poignancy of the morning service, so for these reasons we decided to change things around.

Our Activities
For Sunday nights, we have a schedule of activities, around nine or so. However, these activities, nor the order in which they are carried out, are not set in stone. Invariably, the program gives way to other more pressing needs, should any arise.

Our activities include singing, praying, devotionals, building care, talks from the younger and lesser experienced men, Bible Question & Answers and Bible quizzes. The format of each activity is run at the discretion of whoever is guiding the activity that night. No matter what we decide to do, we always have refreshments at the end of every Sunday night meeting. Caroline serves up tea, coffee, juice and plenty of biscuits! The setting for our meetings is friendly, informal and family orientated.

Having a Night Out
Occasionally we cancel Sunday night meetings so that we can participate in other activities, generally with our House Groups. This could be catching a movie, eating out, fellowshipping at a member’s house or ten-pin bowling. Just whatever takes our fancy.

Whatever we decide to do, we do it under the banner of Christ and God is no less honoured than if we had a formal meeting. Come along and join in the fun!
